ReoGrid for Web — A Spreadsheet Tool for Web Application Development — Released

UNVELL Inc. has released ReoGrid for Web, a spreadsheet library for web applications.

Since its launch in 2014, ReoGrid has been adopted in many enterprise systems and R&D projects as a spreadsheet component for the .NET platform, valued for its Excel-like usability and its fast, lightweight behavior.

ReoGrid for Web is a newly developed JavaScript library that brings ReoGrid's high performance into web applications.

■ Product Overview

ReoGrid for Web is built in JavaScript, with a focus on displaying and operating Excel-format files in the browser quickly and smoothly. Adding a single JS library is enough to read, display, and operate Excel files.

It allows easy display of Excel-based business forms in websites, web apps, and web-based mobile apps. Reusing existing form assets significantly improves development efficiency and delivers an Excel-like, user-friendly UI/UX.

The initial release ships in View-Only mode, providing smooth reading, viewing, scrolling, and inspection of cell data from Excel files in the browser.

High-fidelity Excel compatibility: Inherits the expressiveness and compatibility of the existing ReoGrid family, allowing existing Excel documents, business forms, and analysis data to be used directly on the web.

Wide range of cell types: Supports text, number, date, dropdown, checkbox, and more in the browser, enabling web spreadsheet features that fit a variety of data structures.

Smooth performance: A single JS library is all you need — no extra plugins. Loading, rendering, and interaction are fast, scaling to large datasets without compromising user experience.

■ Product Positioning and Roadmap

Starting with the .NET edition, the ReoGrid family has been adopted across many companies and industries. In June 2025, we released ReoGrid V4, capable of loading 1 million rows in under one second.

With this web edition, web-based enterprise systems and cloud applications can leverage the same performance and compatibility. View-Only ships today, with an editable version planned for spring 2026.

We will continue expanding features in stages to deliver a complete web spreadsheet solution for both enterprise users and developers.
